Opening Day 2025

Opening day took place on the 29th March 2025.

There was a good turn out even though it was quite cold but everyone was in good spirits.

Everyone assembled before the official opening for a drink or a cup of tea.

The Game and the Official Opening

Before we got the game started, Brendan Fairbrother, our outgoing President handing over the chain of office to Gerry Bell, our new President for 2025. After which Gerry went on to roll the silver jack and the first bowl first on the carpet and then on the grass. This was then followed by the game itself

Before, during and after the dinner

After the game, most everyone repaired to the bar for a drink before the dinner. The dinner was enjoyed by all and some even had seconds of the dessert. Tables were set out as per the rinks. Rink 1 to Table 1 etc., and to round off the evening a nice night cap in the bar.
